Red Wine and Christmas; both definitely have one thing in common, the red colour and maybe another thing, which is possibly the ability to lift the spirit up in their own respective different ways. So it is no surprise that red wine is usually the choice drink particularly the alcoholic ones for the Christmas season for most adults of course.

Is it not Christmas a wonderful excuse to drink your glass or glasses of wine a day?  Aside from the many benefits it contains like antioxidants.

According to some medical/scientific research on red wine I have read, it helps the risk of heart disease, the risk of stroke, and lowers cholesterol; of course all these is possible if it is taken in moderation for instance a glass of red wine a day for women while about two/three glasses a day for men, excess drinking of red wine makes its health benefits to be lost, so moderation is key. Again red wine is healthier than other alcoholic drinks or most alcoholic drinks.

It is also important to note that the French who consumes red wine on a daily basis as tradition are known to have the lowest incidence of colon cancer and heart disease globally.

Shall we talk about the classic taste of wine whether it is the sweet or bitter sweet wine that leaves a lingering sweet flavor to the mouth afterwards? What better drink to share the Christmas food table with this Christmas season and is it not Christmas about sharing, open a bottle and make a toast to loved ones!

Jesus is the reason for the season of Christmas, so are you looking for biblical excuse to have your glass of red wine, read up Ecclesiastes 9: 7; Go, eat your food with gladness and drink your wine with a joyful heart for God has already approved what you do. 1 Timothy 5: 23; Stop drinking only water, use a little wine because of your stomach and frequent illness.
