White Bread Recipe

This white bread recipe is delicious, and very easy to make. Almost anything can be paired and eaten with this white bread recipe put together and written by Uzochukwu Cecilla Klemetsrud.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm of water
  • 2 teaspoons of yeast
  • 3 cups of flour
  • ¹/⁴ cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of salted butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of warm with 2 teaspoons of yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Cover and let it sit for 3- 5 minutes to activate the yeast.
  2. In another bowl, combine 3 cups flour and ¹/⁴ cup of sugar.
  3.  Once the yeast mixture is ready, make a well in the flour mixture and pour in the yeast.
  4.  Add two tablespoon of salted butter and continue kneading until the dough is soft and stretchy.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and let it rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  6. After the dough has risen, roll it out on a clear surface and fold it neatly.
  7. Grease a baking pan with butter and dust the flour. Place the dough in the pan, cover, and let it rise foe another hour or until doubled in size.
  8.  Preheat the oven to 189 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  9. Bake the bread for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
