Teas might have expiry date but technically, they don’t expire, a date has to be there often times. Again, often times, for certain teas( not all teas), after a very long period of time, it might just lose a bit of taste/flavor and quality drops. Not to worry, you can always use them for plant fertilizer.
This is one of the many things you can do with expired loose leaf tea or tea bags. I also notice when I use loose leaf for fertilizer, my plants grow faster, smells nice and better.
