When I was in primary school, I had a classmate “Babatunde” whose mum used to make fresh juice for her home, particularly freshly squeezed orange juice, their fridge was filled with 5 litre of this fruit & that fruit, once in awhile when we his classmates visit him, she would share some of the juice to us, if we were lucky, we would eat home made chin chin to our fill too.
Babatunde’s lunch box was often unique, now that I am grown up, I have come to realise it was a very balanced lunch box.
Babatunde was a very smart intelligent boy, we always competed to be part of top 5 (No 1 was never an option for the both of us & other students because Mariam always came first) but how could he not be smart when he drank lots of fresh natural fruit juice at home, ate meals that had enough protein & vegetables at home, even ate snacks at school & home his mother made herself (I am/was jealous of that one o).
Either you are intelligent/smart generically/inborn or food makes you intelligent or your environment, if it’s now one or the two or three, you are really lucky or God really loves you but one of either might just help fine.
Imagine if in one’s DNA/genetics, the level of intelligence in that family is low, the child is not been feed a proper balanced diet with lots of fruits, vegetables & nuts, bad environment on top.
In essence, parents eat your fruits, vegetables & nuts and feed your children enough of them too.
