The first time I saw and knew a spice called “Sweet Basil” existed was in my year 3 in university around 2013/2014. I saw it at a big supermarket in Ilorin, I was curious, so I bought it.
when I tried it for the the first time it was a big hit, it made my meals more delicious or what one might say sweeter, I was obsessed with it for a while, I used it in almost any dish I wanted to make, I particularly liked also using it in cooking my animal protein.
It was also a very hit when I used it for cooking beans. l hear some of you use sugar to cook beans (hmmmm,na wa oo), if you like using sugar to cook, you might want to consider sweet basil.
Sweet basil is still one of my best spice till date.
